Within the broad range of specialty gases available, there is an elite segment of electronic grade gases.
These gases are unique enough to be treated as a special business unit for major suppliers like Airgas, Air Liquide, Air Products, Linde, Matheson Tri-Gas, and Praxair. Even with a high ratio of gases to equipment and a very active specialty gases business, electronic grade gases are often not within the scope of supply for many independent gas distributors. However, as independent gas producers consolidate and become larger, some independent and privately-owned gas distributors are entering this highly complex market.
